Dryness In Eyes, Irritation

Question

i have irritation in eyes since many months, they are super dry and i feel tiny particles in my eyes. also i see floaters all day. 
my eye sight is weak since almost 15 years.
its minus 3.75 in both eyes.
i used to wear lenses everyday at uni. that was when dry eyes started. i dont wear them anymore.
and i also feel some sensitivity towards bright lights.
how to cure this

these are all signs of dry eye. that's good if you already quit using contact lenses. are you using some lubricants?

use tear fix eye gel at night time very effective

Its wise to withhold lenses, do not use them again, use FML Eye ointment at night for 2 weeks, and Crestane E/D during the morning after every 2 or 3 hour, after two weeks stop FML Ointment but keep using Crestane E/D for 3 months, use glasses for the eye sight and after 3 months consider getting refractive surgery done, long term use of contact lenses can cause serious complications.
