AoA, I This is heaing wound of pilonidal sinus open wound excision operation which was held 6 days ago. Its been daily dressed. I am curious about white area in wound. What it is? Dressor says its normal in healing process. Very mild pain only if put pressure, No temp. Already on Calamox 1.2 gm inj. Sharing pic of 6th day.

it should be excised..white tissue is dead tissue
continue dressing and antibiotics will take time to heal !! when healing complete , take care of hygiene, keep surrounding area clear from hair , use clipper to remove hair
