Talk to Psychiatry on Fluoxetine. GAD. Sleep Problem, Concerned About Taking The Drug For A Long Time

person-avatar

Asking For Self, Female 21, Karachi

I have been taking fluoxetine (depricap oral solution 20 mg for the past 4 months now). I have been having sleep disturbances, and excessive dreaming since this 2nd january approx. And had a few nightmares between 12th dec to present 10th jan (not everyday).

I rarely had nightmares so this feels new. In my previous question I got answered how fluoxetine can cause sleep disturbances even after 4 months of consumption.

Today I woke up fine, around 6am after having a 5/6 hour sleep and had some snacks, watched a movie (everything was normal). But then I felt tired so I went to sleep again around 10:30am. But I woke up at 12pm and my head and eyes were extremely heavy, hands felt puffy and heavy.

While opening my eyes, it was difficult to focus on anything and once I did, vision aisa tha jaisay same hi image ek ek second pe change hokay dikhrahi ho. This caused severe panic in my body, hands became cold and heart rate rapid. I don't know why it happened. Could this be eyesight/ vision

This phenomenon usually occurred after a deep sleep phase, other issues in sleep phases, associated illnesses, pattern (timing or daily doses) of meditation intake or side effects of medications. You are recommended to visit your treating physician (psychiatrist) to re-assess and review your diagnosis and manage medications in view of current added symptoms. Psychiatrist may counsel you if no significant issue found in illness and treatment process. He/she may refer you to other specialist if needed. You may visit consultant ophthalmologist if feeling issues in vision.

Homeopath in Lahore - Prof. Homeopathic Dr. Syed Atta E Rasool Bokhari

THIS IS CALLED TOXICITY OF MEDICINES. YOUR EYES WILL BE EFFECTED TOO.

BETTER IS INSTEAD OF USING THESE TOXIC MEDICINES

DIAGNOSE THE ROOT CAUSE OR TRIGGERING FACTOR OF YOUR DISORDER.

TREAT THAT FOR PERMANENT SOLUTION INSTEAD OF STAY DEPENDENT ON MEDICINES
OTHERWISE THESE MEDICINES MAKE YOU MORE SICK WITH TIME AND YOU WILL EXPERIENCE TEMPORARY RELIEF ON START OF ANY NEW MEDICINE.
