Ciproxin Tablet is an antibiotic which works by killing the bacteria that cause infections. It stops the bacteria from making DNA, so they can't grow or spread. Doctors give it for infections in the urine, lungs, skin, abdomen, and bones. It doesn’t work for colds or flu.
Your doctor might give you Ciproxin Tablet for:
Urinary tract infections
Respiratory infections
Skin infections
Soft tissue infections
Bone infections
Gastrointestinal infections
Typhoid fever
Ear infections
Prostate infections
Always use the medicine as directed by your doctor:
500mg twice daily for 3-7 days.
Dose and duration may vary for complicated infections.
Not generally recommended for children and teenagers.
Swallow the tablet whole with water
Take with or without food
Take at the same time each day
Drink plenty of fluids while taking this medicine
Complete the full course even if you feel better
Don't use Ciproxin Tablet if you:
Are allergic to Ciprofloxacin
Are allergic to fluoroquinolone antibiotics
Have had tendon problems
Are pregnant
