Nilstat Drops Uses

Nilstat drops uses include helping with fungal infections in the mouth, in the digestive tract, oral thrush (white patches in mouth) and intestinal candidiasis. It has Nystatin inside which works by killing the fungus or stopping its growth without being absorbed into the bloodstream.

Nilstat oral drops uses include treating:

• Oral thrush (candidiasis)

• Intestinal fungal infections

• Prevention of fungal infections in high-risk patients

• Fungal diaper rash 

• Fungal infections in premature babies

• Fungal infections in immunocompromised patients

• Fungal infections after antibiotic treatment

• Persistent oral yeast infections

Always use the medicine as directed by your doctor:

Adult Dosage:

4 times daily (100,000 IU per dose)

Children Dosage:

Same as adults 

Infants Dosage:

4 times daily, or as directed by doctor

How to Use Nilstat Drops:

• Shake the bottle well before use

• Use the dropper provided to measure the dose

• For oral thrush: drop half the dose in each side of the mouth

• For infants: apply to affected areas in the mouth with clean finger

• For intestinal infections: swallow the dose

• Take after meals for best results

Don't use Nilstat drops if you:

• Are allergic to nystatin or any ingredients

• Have had a previous allergic reaction to this medicine

• Are taking certain antifungal medications 

Talk with your doctor first if you:

• Are pregnant 

• Are breastfeeding

• Have diabetes

• Have liver problems 

• Have kidney problems

Also, remember:

• This medicine is for oral use only

• Continue using for the full prescribed course, even if symptoms improve

• May cause temporary staining of teeth or dentures

• Not effective against bacterial infections

• Not absorbed into the bloodstream
