If it's a bone fracture, then repeat x ray will show new bone formation as compared to previous X ray, and that fracture takes at least 4 weeks to heal, if it was only Ligament and soft tissue injury, then in 7-10-14 days slab/plaster usually heals it

you should visit your doctor after every two weeks so that he can examine and make sure your bone is uniting well.
