Asking For Other, Female 4, Karachi
My 4 years old girl is having cough, upper respiratory infection, throat infection on and off since August. Now again she is suffering from mild fever, severe hearing loss, ear pain, nose block, bad breath and cough. What shall be done for her hearing? Doctor has prescribed medication for cough, fever and pain, anti allergy but nothing for hearing loss which is becoming extremely frustrating for her and us. Please suggest something. It has been quiet a long time now to this problem. Is waiting the only way to get back to normal hearing?

please get her ear examined by ent specialist and if needed get her hearing tests pure tone audiometry and tympanometry done. sometimes after upper respiratory tract infection, fluid collects behind ear drum causing hearing loss. your daughter is in critical development age, her speech and hearing can be badly damaged from this condition. its better to get her hearing tests done and further treatment will depend on the results
I can help you for hearing it's completely treatable after taking some medicine don't you worry detailed history required kindly book appointment with me
