My son had a stapedectomy surgery on his left ear on 3rd November and he still can't hear on his left ear.Can it take longer than two months to start hearing after stapedectomy?

The Dr who operated your son ear he give u the better answer because he know what he did in the operation
Usually stapedectomy gives immediate hearing restoration. Please seek advise from the surgeon who operated

The surgen is a renowned practitioner and has many years of experience and according to him we should give it more time.There was bleeding at the time of surgery because the patient was off warfarin for two days.There are no symptoms of vertigo as well.
I am desperate to find a solution for my son to live a quality life.

After successful stapedectomy patient should hear just after surgery
Ideally there should be an immediate improvement. What was his hearing status before surgery?

He used a hearing aid,phonak marvel series and had 20% hearing.

Sorry for delayed reply,Stapedectomy should restore hearing immediately.Its better to get hearing test first
