Asking For Mother, Female 80, islamabad
my mother age is 80 have stones in her galldbladder(pitta).can we have her operate or not
It depends on her condition if stone is stuck and creating severe pain then go for operate otherwise no need in this age
operation at this age is not an ideal choice.. she may continue the desired medical treatment.

if stones are asymptomatic then don't go for surgery.
if u select surgery, laptoscopy is the option.
if your mother functional status is very good like 70 years old women , then u can go for surgery.
but in All case she needs medical fitness . need to be evaluated.
