Talk to General Physician on Allergy Caused Due To Cold Breeze

I am fond of cycling and often go outsides covering my face and body to be safe from direct contact with cold. I have developed a serious allergic reaction after having contact with cold weather which causes a bad flu attack with watery nose, eyes and sneezing. This continues for 2 to 3 days and it's much severe. I wanted to know how it can be treated and how can I continue cycling with coping up this problem? I was studying in a cycling platform that antihistamines can be helpful for curing this issue but I don't want to start with self medications. Kindly advise.
