I am attaching my b12 report its 203pg/ml and reports says normal range starts from 187 but i read in a research paper that normal range starts from 200 not below 200 question is that if it 200 is normal then mine is borderline if according to you its normal but can i still take b12 supplement oral if so mention its dose for me as my skin is pale .is it safe to take if so tell me safe dose plus duration thanks in advance

You have vitamin d defeciency. For that take cap sunny-D 200,000 iu once monthly. And can take vitaminb12 supplements but this is within normal range. No need to worry about that

Tests to Confirm B12 Deficiency:
Serum Vitamin B12 (primary test)
Complete Blood Count (CBC) – may show anemia
Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) or Homocysteine – if B12 borderline
Peripheral Blood Smear – looks for large red blood cells (megaloblastic anemia)
Treatment (Pakistan Available Medicines):
Oral B12: Cyanocobalamin 1000 mcg daily for 1–2 months, then weekly
Injection B12: Hydroxocobalamin 1000 mcg IM every week for 4–6 weeks if severe deficiency or absorption problem
Dietary Advice: Include meat, eggs, dairy, fortified cereals
Follow-up: Recheck B12 and blood counts after 2–3 months

you can take oral or injectable b12 it is safe, however if you skin is pale, please get a cbc done first to help diagnose the cause of anemia. once we get a cbc report, we can go from there to further tests.
