She has a rishta and the male is a carrier of beta thelasimia gene. So if both the spouses will have it then there is a probability that the child will have thelasimia. What is the name of test to check if you are a beta thelasimia carrier
hb electrophoresis for thalessemia
n do mention that spouse is thalassemia carrier.
if both spouse are carrier then there is 25% chance of having a baby with thalessemia major

Thank you all for your response, she got hb electropheresis done: HBA :97.4% HBA2: 2.6% and it says that it shows a normal pattern. I hope she is not even a carrier. Please guide.
