Report is suggestive of iron deficiency anemia. Deworm the child with syp. Zentel and start iron supplement syp. Maltofer 1TSF daily.
nothing dangerous in it just tell me Hb only iron deficiency what is result of rest of the tests suggested
This show low HB with small red cell, it may be due to anemia of iron deficiency or thalassemia minor which the two most common causes world wide. In both of the cases not to panic get further evaluation done.
Generally patients with Minor Thelalsemia have normal iron and don't need iron supplementation. Infact it may risk iron overload so unless tested and confirmed for iron defficiency "thelasemic patients should avoid iron supplementation"
