My wife has been suffering from Ibs with diarrhea for the past 6 years (diagnosed by 4 doctors) with little improvement. But her current prob is of sore throat which has always been red. Her dr said its probably because of acid reflux for which she is taking antacids regularly. Though pain in throat improves but throat picture remains almost same red & inflammed without fever & cough. Esp early morning there is congestion in throat & heartburn. Pls

yes a very probable cause is acid reflux for constant sore throat in IBS. She needs to be treated for that alongside persistenting condition.
