Asking For Someone else, Mother, Female, 55 Years old, karachi
From last 2-3 days she is having a fever 99, just got her X-ray (self basis) reports are attached, she had a covid last year in December 2020. She is single dose vaccinated in march 2021 second dose is due we are trying to get sooner appointment in Aga khan hospital to get her vaccine both doses to be done. As per her x ray report does she have a covid again?
as patient previously Got Covid then this might be Post Covid Pneumonitis or can be Reinfection of Covid which is little likely within 6 months.. Go for HRCT Chest and CBC and consult Pneumologist asap ..for fever Use paracetamol Thrice a day

these reports are fine but X ray report suggests some acute infection . The more reliable test to see the chest is HRCT so better go for it..Post Covid pneumonitis is reported in many patients after covid is over ..Reinfection can be there but its less likely within short interval but it can be possible ..For keep on using paracetamol for fever and i suggest consult some pneumologist he will better guide u about the follow up

dont worry post covid complication stays for sometime..to rule out any reinfection or new infection Go for HRCT and then consult patient's pneumologist along previous history ..Ask patient to take immunity building foods n paracetamol for fever
