Thank you for responding. Yes, she is covid positive for 3 weeks now. She was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea too, before corona.

Been using bipap every night since 2 months now. But she has been sleeping throughout the day the past 3 days.

was her sleeping pattern ok after start of bipap?if this sleepiness is recent in onset then she definitely needs some baseline investigations to rule out any infection because osa wont cause sudden sleep pattern changes

She had been sleepy a lot and couldn't keep her eyes open, we rushed her to the hospital when oxygen saturation went low and there they prescribed bipap. Said her sleepiness was due to carbon dioxide retention.. her sleep pattern did improve after using it. She was fresh all day and slept all night. but now the same thing is happening again, even though we are using bipap.

have you checked its settings?what is ipap and epap settings?what is her sleeping pattern now?any other associated symptoms?

The setting is 15 and 5. She has slept all day and we had to forcefully wake her up to eat.. She could barely keep her eyes open. Should inform you she has been extremely weak lately and cant even go to the bathroom. Also has been having tremors in arms,hands

low platelet count cannot cause sleepiness but thats another reason to consult a dr besides her sleeping pattern. i would advice you to either get her checked by a dr personally and if thats not possible atleast discuss that with a dr on phone or video call so that a detailed history could be discussed and further plan can be devised
