symptoms.. dry cough, high grade fever and flu.. after contact with any corona patient with in 10 days
according to data available babies are less prone to infection regarding symptoms same as adults
main symptoms include Fever, Cough, Shortness of breath
In children there is a very good prognosis of Corona virus.
Children are usually the carriers & they have no symptoms or only mild flu like symptoms
WHO has outline major risk groups as follow
1) Immunocompromised people of any age( person with pre exsisting medical condition like diabetes,cardiac disease,cystic fibrosis etc)
2) Pregnant ladies
3) Children below five years of age
4) Elderly people age >60 years
The symptoms are
1) Fever
2) Dry Cough
3) Difficulty in breathing
People with corona infection in incubation period ( time period between attack of pathogen and appearances of symptoms) can transmit the infection to others
so social distancing is highly important not only from those who have symptoms suggestive of corona but from all those who are at risk of contacting corona virus and recent data suggest that even the young people can contract and compmications can occur
not prone to virus and syptoms will be same as adult. But there is not one case reported yet
They are less prone . Symptoms are same like fever , cough and difficulty in breathing
Chuldren can be asymptomatic carrier, but can have a range of symptoms from mild i.e. fever and cough to severe I e. respiratory distress(chest indrawing or fast breathing).
Usually they recover. But those having any underlying conditions such as congenital heart diseases, HIV, Malnutrition grade 3 (i.e. weight is50- 60% less than weight for age),, Diabetes, Kidney disease or any malignancy etc OR any immunocompromised state are likely to suffer more severe symptoms and can have worst outcomes.
Prevention is best, keep them home, keep yourself and your children isolated at home. Esp don't take them to hospitals, You can contact us online for any advice until it is a life threatening condition.
