Talk to General Physician on Diabetes Wounds
Asking for Self, Male, 45 years old, Lahore
Assalam-o-Alaikum I have developed two wounds on leg and one on my pinky toe. I have been applying dressing with pyodine. But, healing process is extremely slow. My HB1C test result is 6.7% – it was 9% previously – and I have not been prescribed any medicine. I was advised to do exercise and a brisk walk for 40-45 minutes a day. Can you please guide if I should apply some medicine.

need pictures of wounds..better to get proper evaluation by Surgeon because your wounds are distributed on wide area..and keep your blood sugar in control
get your blood glucose levels checked, a high blood glucose can be the cause of delayed wound healing. regarding your wound , it needs antibiotics oral and topical both.
You wound is not healing because of Diabetes. Medicine is must is such a situation and proper wound care is needed. Daily Sugar monitoring is also advised. Consult for more.
