Now anti Rabies Vaccine is given if the dog is un known,has run away or is killed.If the dog bit without provocation then caccine is indicated.
Vaccine is given if there is break in skin with bleeding or contamination of mucous membrane with saliva.
Give Anti Rabies vaccine
on Days 0,3,7,14,28..sometimes 90th day too
A total of 5 doses
Anti Rabies Vaccine is given intramascular injection in the deltoid.
Anti Rabies immunoglobulins are sometimes indicated in special circumstances.
