What was the condition that led to your kidney shrinking? Did you have any genetic or cholesterol related problems? It could be signs of some serious complications. You need to definitely see a cardiologist.

How are your cholesterol levels? I am concerned that if it was for no ongoing problem, why did the surgeon remove the kidney, usually with simple atrophy it is left inside. And if there is an ongoing problem, then you cardiac, neurological and other systems should all be assessed regularly.

High Blood pressure can be managed by cardiologists and nephrologist(,Kidney specialist,) both.Even a primary physician can manage it well if it is uncomplicated hypertension.
Since you have only one kidney, you have to have a vigilant control of Blood pressure to save your existing kidney.Personally I find Losartan or Valsartan (ACE inhibitors or blockers) a better choice over Norvasc.
Ideal would be to see a nephrologist and optimize the dose and for follow up.
Also rule out Diabetes, dyslipedemia ,and other causes of secondary hyoertrnsio .
Dr Aizaz Mand,Dr Nauman Tareef *Fatima memorial hosp)are very well reputed nephrologists.
Go low on salt intake.

I am sure you will find a good physician to control your mildly elevated diastolic BP. As for your symptoms of chest heaviness and headache is concerned, high blood pressure on its own is entirely asymptomatic. These symptoms in your case as in other cases are caused by anxiety. Once your anxiety settles down these symptoms will disappear quickly

General Physician in Umarkot - Dr. Jaswant Dan Charan

headache is a side effect of norvasc and your bp is not controlled on it I would suggest you to get urea creatinine and urine dr first stop norvasc and start concor 2.5 mg daily and reduce salt intake along with regular exercise
