Did u have needle injury how u become expectedly infected? ELISA Test ELISA, which stands for enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, is used to detect HIV infection. If an ELISA test is positive, the Western blot test is usually administered to confirm the diagnosis.

According to HIV.gov, a person can take a rapid antibody test 23 to 90 days after possible HIV exposure. If someone takes this test 4 weeks after exposure, a negative result may be accurate. Still, it's best to test again after 3 months to be sure.05-May-2022
