Talk to General Physician on Hypertension With Fits
Asking for Self, Female, 48 years old, Lahore
My mother is hypertensive from last 4 years but she didn't had frequest high BP so didn't took any medicine. Last Sunady, she wasn't well whole day with vomiting and high BP 160/100, treated with medicine but ay night she had stroke with stretched body, fits, upward rolled eyes, tongue bite and sliva out. Took to hospital and treated with BP 180/100, after 2.5 hours, BP was 140/90, amd again had attack again with same situation and BP raised to 180/100 again. Then treated woth noraml CT scan. till morning BP was controlled. Doc considered it as epilepsy. and advised for MRI and EEG.. attaching pics of reports. kindly guide whether she have epilepsy or it is something else
High BP does not normally lead to a fit of this type, She most probably had an epileptic fit , can take Tab Epival 500mg morning and evening. BP needs to be strictly controlled
A normal EEG does not rule out the possibility of epilepsy. infact approximately half of all the EEG's done for patients with seizures are negative. Even someone who has seizures every week can have a normal EEG test. MRI may also be negative. The most important thing is clinical diagnosis and history of the seizure from an eyewitness
detailed history is required to find out the cause for complete treatment if you are interested then take appointment she will be fine after taking medicine.
meanwhile please engage herself in different activities, take penalty of water avoid oily, spicy and junk foods, walk daily in morning and evening.
according to ur history if might be epileptic fits or stress but confirm after her detailed history.
