I'm Experiencing Symptoms Of A Possible Viral Upper Respiratory Infection With Some Allergic Features

Assalamualaikum Doctor,
I&rsquo;ve been having a sore throat for the past 3 days along with dryness, itching, and pain in the throat. My symptoms also include sneezing, runny nose, and watery eyes. The discomfort increases when I&rsquo;m under the fan.

I took some home remedies and Rijix at night, but I&rsquo;m still not feeling fully better.

Can you please advise if I need to take any further medicine or antibiotics like Calamox or Erythrocin? Or should I continue with symptomatic treatment only?

Hey, as apparent from your note seems viral and doesn't warrant Antibiotics therepy unless you have superimposed Infective symptoms. would definitely need a proper Questionnaire to establish the diagnosis. i hope this helps regards Dr Naeem Specialist Registrar In medicine Dublin Ireland
