Asking for Other, Male, 87 years old, Fsd
Aoa. My grandfather had prostate operation 10 years back. We are getting regular checkup for PSA since then 2 months back the levels started increasing suddenly. It was around 26 2 months back and this month report came back at 48. He is taking calutide since surgery and doubled the dose on Dr's advice last month. The appointment by his physician Is after 3 weeks as he is out of country. Is this something we need to get checked in emergency? Is it dangerous. The recent report is attached thankyou.
U should go to physician
visit a urologist
if yiur grandfather have symptoms like retention of urine.urine incontinence.or urinary infection then its an emergency to pass folley's catheter.otherwise continue drug that advised by the urologist.
prostate infection can also cause increase in PSA levels. get his DRE done, urine RE, Urine culture done
do visit a urologist. it can be mere prostatitis but can be benign or malignant growth
visit to urologist
