Talk to General Physician on Intersex Baby
Asking for Other, Male, 0.1 years old, gujrat
Assalaam o alaikum, before one month we have intersex baby in our family. I just want to ask that this baby can be change into a normal girl or boy after surgery as one doctor suggest us. what I searched on internet mostly websites written that don't go for surgery. Please guide
Walekumsalam, kindly share all details with me if possible. I am an intersex educator and I counsel parents as well as doctors about intersex conditions. Surgery should be delayed in all intersex cases. Please feel free to get in touch with me to understand why intersex is as normal as male or female. The child will grow up and tell their gender themselves.
Doctors push for unnecessary surgery because they don't understand the difference between sex and gender.

Ok, actually i am not in Pakistan, tomorrow my family will arrange online appointment (In Sha Allah)because for me I should confirm everything from my family whatever you will ask. It's better they should get appointment and get consultation directly. But how to send you ultrasound reports I didn't understand. As i received these ultrasound results through WhatsApp (as a picture) don't know how to copy the picture and paste on website.

Thanks for replying, actually baby age is now 25 days and we did only ultrasound 3 times from different labs. One test doctor told us requires, we check with lab, as per lab technician this test required 5ml blood and baby is weak so it can be done later and this test result will take around one month. Sorry i am unable to read this test name properly, its like "karyotgrim". If you need these ultrasound reports, how I can send you???

The test name is Karyotyping. It checks what chromosome the baby has. Because we expect baby to have XX or XY but subhanallah there are many more combinations, and they all can lead happy healthy lives. Apart from karyotyping you should also get 17OH progesterone test done. It confirms if baby has congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH).
