In ramzan i dont go for walk too much and most of the time sleeping. when i am in rest position i feel sever swelling in my knee and also below and above knee area...kindly suggest any deficiency with solution
Asalamoalaikm. This one side knee swelling might be infective or due to joint disease commonly osteoartritis in which our joint space between joints is reduced and two surfaces of joints clash with each other to cause swelling. can i have some investigations regarding the current issue. First of all avoid strenous exercise weight lifting and climbing till your disease diagnosis is made. give a rest to your joint. Second in order to investigate please share with me following labs:
1. xray knee joint affected right or left? ap + lateral view
2. ESR
3. ultrasound knee for any fluid levels
till then please use Tab naproxen 500mg , painkiller once in morning and evening after meals
voltral emulgel 3 times a day rub on affected knee
Is there any fever, colour changes and temp increased over affected knee?
share x-ray both knee joints
