Is your father diabetic or does he have any other medical conditions like high blood pressure or heart disease . Secondly size of stone is improved of it is less than 5mm it will pass on its own he needs to increase his water intake upto 3-4litre per day but his medical condition needs to be evaluated first if he can take this much or not. If its 5-10mm ESWL can be done which is non invasive laser treatment. Prostate ultrasound should be done to see its size and pre and post void urine volume need to be measured
