I have smelly watery loose motion from 5 days only 2 motions a day.. with on and off fever 99.8-100.2 Is it typhoid symptom?? Do i need medicine or will it cure with home remedies like kehwa.. isphaghol and ors

Typhoid will only be confirm by blood culture test
Plus it could be viral infection only because fever is not so high.
It will settle in few days if not then come for check up and do blood culture..

Get a blood culture and s. Amylase and lipase done . Take tab flagyl 400mg one morning and evening meanwhile
Hi. May be until my answer u will be better already. But I’m just writing it for general awareness. Mostly it’s a viral illness. U just need to take more fluids. U can buy commercially available ORS and can take only Paracetamol which comes with name panadol or calpol. Prevention is better than cure. So always eat fresh food. It’s not good to hear the food repeatedly. Simple food with more veggies and fiber. Always clean ur hands appropriately every time u eat or after going to bathroom. Better to drink boiled water. If symptoms don’t resolve in few days , see ur nearest doctor.

Thankyou so much dr... i still have very loose motion but now only once a day.. no fever... 2 months back already took 2 courses of antibiotics for severe throat infection...
So i wanted to avoid medicine... motion is still watery...

Did u take antibiotics before the start of diarrhea. If yes , diarrhea is due to antibiotics. If u have diarrhea after antibiotics then take flagyl 400 mg three times daily. If u did not take antibiotics before diarrhea then just continue oral fluids. Eat banana and soft food. It will be fine.

Antibiotics are so widespread in Pakistan that many diseases are already getting resistance. Better not to use antibiotics for everything.Antibiotics are even prescribed for flu diarrhea and other very mild self limit diseases.they are available without doctor prescription which is very bad.
