General Physician in Islamabad - Dr. Bakht Rawan

Vitamin D deficiency should be treated with vitamin D supplements. Care must be taken to take the doses in specific strength for the specific duration as prescribed by the physician. You can take Vitamin D 50,000 IU weekly for 8 weeks and then check your vitamin D level. The medications should not be taken in larger doses. Vitamin D toxicity can lead to deposition of calcium in different organs of the body which can lead to dangerous outcome. It can also lead to kidney stones. More water should be taken during the treatment time.
