Question

doctor suggested my mother this medicine because of decreasing dexa levels.
she is having cervical issues too.
plz tell me, is it okay to take this medicine?
it has so many side effects on Internet.

it is indicated as a medicine in post menopausal osteoporosis that led to hypercalcemia .. calcifications in body tissues ...

so may be ur mother is facing such problems so leave it on ur physician..

This drug is prescribed for post menopausal Osteoporosis.It is taken in monthly doses.A dexa scan is always done to assess bone mineral density accurately .If the report shows osteoporosis you can take the drug.However you must ensure that your vitamin D Level,kidney function,(serum creatinine) and serum Calcium levels are normal before you take this tablet.I am sure your doctor is the best judge.
