edonax is prescribed only to treat severe osteoporosis which is diagnosed through Dexa bone scan. it won't help with degenerative disc disease. Treatment for your patient's condition is combination of painkillers and physiotherapy. painkillers should not be used long-term because of side effects. If no help with painkillers or physiotherapy then an epidural injection of steroid by anesthesiologist will give pain relief at least for 6 months to year in most cases.
