Talk to General Physician on Pain In Abdomin Area
Asking for Other, Male, 75 years old, Lahore
Tentatively the area is somewhere between spleen and pancreas (left upper abdomin). Pain not moving backside. Patient is experiencing pain. Chemist advised buscopan plus and then Nospa, none worked. No indigestion issue. Pain subsided after 3,4 hours but resumed. Please advise something, what could it be. Most OPDs and emergencies in Lahore are closed.

Hello, how are you? Can you confirm weight and height of patient and if he/she has any co morbid conditions (such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiac issues). Also what time the patient is more evident (morning or night, before eating or after eating). Lastly, is the pain constant or it appears on pressing or it appears on releasing the pressing. Please reach out!!

120kg. Height 6 hypertension and cardiac (4 stents 4 years ago). No diabetes. Yesterday it was in evening and morning... Today at night only. Buscopan plus and Nospa didn't work. It is continuous (not only due to pressure or press). Cholesterol, electrolytes and RFTs were normal.

Tonight it started 4 hours after a light dinner (2 pieces of bread).
Yesterday evening it was 1 hour after proper lunch.
Today the lunch was relatively light (rice), no pain after lunch.

Hello, how are you? Since the age mentioned above is 75 years and RFTs are normal & Nospa doesn't seem to be working. Please do the following: start Tab Famot 40mg at night (for 2 weeks), do not have meal/dinner atleast 2 hours before sleeping, keep the head little raised via sleeping. Lastly, get your fasting abdominal and hepato biliary ultrasound done and ALT levels checked. Most likely rotating gases but no harm in getting these investigations for better advice. Kindly reach out if you need anymore assistance.

Kidney stone diagnosed. Blocking left kidney, high infection there and in bladder. Bladder isn't able to clear itself.

You require the following tests as well: RFTs and Urine R/E. Secondly if the size of stone is small it can be treated through use of medication - following control of infection.
