Rule out Diabetes first and foremost.
Review if you are taking any medicines.Review your diet.
Sometimes B12 deficiency in diet is also responsible for it.Add meat,fish,poultry eggs to your diet.
Certain medicines like glucophage and proton pump inhibitors can also cause B12 deficiency and thus numbness.
If things do not improve you may need neuro consult.

Does this numbness only occurs after long sitting hours or happens at other times too. If long sitting hours causes the problem them it's surely is nerve compression at the lower back. Wearimg closed or tight shoes for long can cause it too. If the feeling is there all the time then other conditions need to be looked into and following blood tests should be done;
Serum Iron
FBS( 12hours fasting)
Serum Vit D

If the numbness occurs only after long sitting then the proper guidance about posture is required. Physiotherapy could treat this case well.
Kindly book an appointment to discuss your case thoroughly.
