Talk to General Physician on Post Covid Fever
Asking for Mother, Female, 60 years old, Sukkur
My mother had covid. And during the first few days she had 101-102 fever but after 3-4 days she was having fever 98-98 degrees farhenheit. But now she has tested negative but still she is having fever upto 98-99 degrees. What could be the reason and what should be done? She has no other comorbids.

AOA!. How was her COVID confirmed ? by nasal swab for PCR or serum antibody test? Also see if she is having any urinary symptoms , diarrhea or breathing issue. If none of above just keep on giving her paracetamol as required for fever.

Covid was confirmed by PCR through nasal swab. And she had Diarrhea only yesterday and there was something whitish in it too. She didn’t have diarrhea initially during the isolation period.

Just give her lots of fluids and paracetamol . If diarrhea and fever persist for more than 2 days inform me about the fever pattern and diarrhea consistency and frequency so o could prescribe further medication for her.
