can someone above the age of 30 get HPV vaccine for the prevention of cervical cancer ??.. will it still be effective and does it have any side effects?
Two doses of HPV vaccine are recommended for children at ages 11–12; the vaccine can be given starting at age 9 years. Children who start the HPV vaccine series on or after their 15th birthday need three doses given over 6 months.
yes you can still get it but you will need 3 doses over 6 months. regarding side effects no major side effects are reported with this vaccine except for syncope on the day of vaccination and skin infections occurring 1 to 14 days after immunization but still these are not very common
