Sir he is already on treatment having hyper CVAD 1st cycle completed..but now the dctr is saying as his platelets are low this means that his chemo is giving no response.! According to the patient condition he is completely fine and last week hcv treatment is completed ( vitkana tab 400mg/day for 3mnths).PCR awaited. The main head department of onco is saying that only bmt is the cure of relapse.how??
As in the last 10yrs only 18-20%blasts are detected on immuno histo chemistry markrs..which are still not specified markers for ALL.karyotyping,genetics is normal. No blast in the peripheral film.
I knw that 18-20%blasts are considered as relapse but why the dctrs are not looking for the untreated time period of hcv ,which is 10yrs! And also for the blast cell production as it is acute lymphoblastic leukemia so with in a yr it can be too much lethal.
