Talk to General Physician on Restless Leg Syndrome

I'm moving my legs all the time, as in constant up and down on the floor, I can't sit crossed leg for long since I feel like I need to move them. Also, most of the times I don't even know I'm doing it, until I'm being informed. I have this issue since childhood but its getting more and more frequent. I also move them in my sleep. I believe this is the restless leg syndrome. If yes, what could trigger it and how can it be treated?

Well ot seems like restless legs. There are many factors which act as triggers for this condition. So the best way of treatment is by identifying & managing those factors. Drug or medications should be used if other measures fail.
So, look deep into yourself...
1- Have you been stressed out? Depression, anxiety?
2- Are you using any drugs or remedies for any condition.
3- How is your cardiovascular health? Any heart issues? blood pressure or cholesterol problem?
4- Any history of fits, tremors or fatigue?
All these may play a role as triggering factors, though family history of same condition is an isolated factor also.
5- Try measures like walking or stretching exercises, warmth, relaxation exercises, massage.
6- if these measures fail despite appropriate compliance for 4 to 8 weeks then get yourself assessed in detail by visiting your doctor.
