I have a problem of severe headache for the last 3 years. My eyesight is normal and sometimes i neither use any device (mobile, laptop, TV), nor have any stress but have severe pain and it keeps on increasing with time until i sleep, in this situation sometimes i don't want to talk, sometimes felt nausea. Kindly suggest me what should i do?

Okay so first you need to relax and give me a few more details about your headache to know the cause of the headache to make a proper diagnosis. Kindly asnwer the following questions; that either it is on one side or it's on both side/generalized headache. For how long does is last everyday? And whats the nature of the pain? Is it pulsating, bandlike in front of your forehead or above your eye area? Is it associated with fever, nasal discharge/flu, travelling, caffeine or some other factor? Do you have any other issues like high blood pressure or diabetes(high blood sugar)? If you could tell me these few details I could suggest you further regarding running some tests or plan the treatment accordingly. Thanks

Thanks Dr for your response. As i told you i have this problem for the last three years and sometimes its on one side and sometimes generalized. It usually starts in afternoon which lasts to midnight (until i fall asleep), and most of the time it's pulsating including the area above eyes. I have not found it associated with flu, traveling, caffeine etc, also i'm not hypertensive and diabetic.

You're most welcome. Okay so let me tell you first thing first that headache that are on one side are different from the ones that are on both sides or generalized. Therefore first you must differentiate that is it the one sided headache that's concerning you and does is it localized or radiating. As you said that it gets better without medication just by falling asleep. What type of occupation do you have and is it specifically at the time of your work? Do you have any nasal discharge, fever , seizures/convulsions
or neck pain associated with it? Does your pain relief by OTC analgesics and how frequently do you take these medications? If all of this is negative we can run CBC and ESR as well as CT to make sure. When you get the tests reports negative/positive we can make a
right diagnosis and treat accordingly.

Thanks dr. Most of the time it's one sided pain but i have also experienced it localized. Usually I don't take any medicine (used disprine but only few times) no matter how severe the pain, I just try to sleep and when i wake up in the morning i feel much better. I'm a housewife and no convulsions, fever etc is associated with this pain.
