HbA1c give u last three months average blood sugar level.Pain described by u looks like neurological.Needs examination by a physician to assess for peripheral neuropathy.

i am not aware of any vit d or cal def causing isolated foot pain.as pointed Dr Somia its important to ascertain diabetic status other relevant test could be his TFTS , ferritin , b12 folate .Most common cause of nocturnal pains in particular burning feeling in feet or hands or both is peripheral neuropathy and diabetes being most common cause for that

He does not feel any burning feeling but feels pain in feet especially at night as if he is extremely tired.
