why you think you can have STI what makes you think?
as mentioned above
test for chlamydia and gonorrhoea only need urethral swabs/urine test.
test for HIV/Hep, B,C need blood sample
there is usually lag time mean gap between exposure and infection to become aparent in bloods like in HIV it can take up to 3 months for test to become positive.If your initial test negative a repeat test is suggested in 3 months time if there is enough suspicion of risk.
