Asking for Self, Male, 29 years old, Lahore
Aoa Problem more than a month. I have taken flagyl and novidat in first week. Then doctor changed to caricef, entimazole ds and pensodin. I again go to consultant, he gave me colospas, polypep, motillium and leflox with cebac injection and leflox injection. But till this day, no improvement is seen. Still loose motion and stomach pressure.. what should i do know? Any suggestion that could help me out now.. too much medicines, i have already taken :(
Stop all antibiotics for 3 days , on 4 th day give stool sample for culture and sensitivity. Mean while take entox P three times a day for loose motion . Let the report come and take it to the physician
get stool c/e and c/s .hold milk in your diet.and consult after this

Are these problem associated with fever, how much stool do u pass daily, after how much time u pass stool after taking meal and associated with abdominal cramps. What is your profession, what are your dietary habits and are you suffering from any stress now a days

Sir, no fever and 5 to 6 stool per day but always feel pressure in stomach. More pressure after meal and within hour stool passed, sometimes liquid and sometime semi liquid. I am research scholar and that unique academic stress is part of my work.
Diet is roti, dahi and salan. No milk and sweer drinks nowadays.
Some one suggested me using probiotics and zinc. What is your opinion sir?

I think you are suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome which is the result mainly due to stress ful life.

Sir maybe but i have been in this field for 2 yrs.. did not happen before.. mebeverine(colospas) for IBS has been taking for 5 days but no improvement.

You should try rifaximine(Fexime) 550 mg for 10days along with tab. Levopride 25 mg 1+1+1.

what a disaster
cant think of more irrational use of abx
i think its worth following what Dr Ali suggested .please arrange stools c/s c diff, if available (calpoprotectin) and coeliac screen .There is very strong syspicionit possibly is IBS however it should always be kept as diagnosis of exclusion.Hold on to any therapy if possible if desperate antimotility agents like loperamide can be tried .
