Asking For Someone else, Wife, Female, 48 Years old, Lahore

My wife has been having some COVID symptoms since past three days. Day 1- little cough and 99 fever. Day 2- constant cough with mucus and 100.3 fever. Day 3- cough and 100.4 fever. The fever comes once or twice in a day. It goes down to 98 once she takes panadol. Currently it is at 99. She is taking Panadol twice. Azomax 250 mg once in a day. And Hydralin DM syrup twice. She’s a diabetic patient and her sugar is around 240. Oxygen saturation is around 96-97. Is there any more precautions we should take or change in medication?

We are in contact with a family doctor and he has advised not to go for a test now. He has asked us to wait for two more days and monitor the symptoms. Stated Surbex Z, thank you.

Hello, how are you? Can you confirm what is using for her diabetes (oral or insulin). Avoid sugary drinks and juices and don't worry sugar levels do fluctuate in COVID. However her medical regime needs to be as follows: ap Omega 20mg half an hour before breakfast, Cap Azomax 500 mg after breakfast, 2 tablets panadol every 6 hours - while at night Tab Famot 20mg (all this course for 5 days). Drink atleast 10 - 12 glasses of warm water in a day. Lastly, do have her complete blood picture, ferritin and D dimer tests done. ou can reach out on the profile in case you require anymore help or support.

She is taking insulin. Her sugar is high but that could be because of the cough syrup. I have replaced it with sugar free syrup. Will give other medicines as you say. Thank you.

Because of diabetes she is at high risk for respiratory infections and for the complications of Corona.
Please get RT PCR the patient. If symptoms do not settle by the 5th 6th day,go for tests like CBC CRP ferritin and Ddimers.
Monitor oxygen saturation daily thrice a below 94 contact hospital or arrange oxygen.

The patient is isolated. Oxygen is around 97 for now, but we will keep monitoring it. The local doctor has advised not to go for a test as of now. She still has cough, and fever is at 99.2. Is fever around this number normal?

So far fever is mild and not much.
Wait and do not go for tests unless symptoms worsen at the end of the week.6th or 7th day.
Keep an eye o oxygen saturation Just stay on Panadol as needed.
Plenty fluids,rest,normal diet
