Asking for Self, Female, 20 years old, Gujrat

My tsh is 5.4 and t4 is low !! One dr. Prescribed me thyroxin medicine!! And other just tell me to balance my diet... Now i am so confused and worried ..... What should i actuall do??

There is no endocrinologists in my city ( GUjrat) . and yes my weight ia gained and im only 20 yrs old + there is no genetics issue... But my skin is becoming dry, fatigue, tiredness ,???? ... Bs itna bta dein thyroxin lu ya nahi? Aur diet ma kia ni kha skti?

Hiw much do you weigh now..have you been told to lose weight. Hypothyroidism can cause weight gain and hormonal imbalance. you need to watch your weight and follow a nutritional diet plan. You need to have Thyroxin too.

you are having subclinical hypothyroidism and you don't need treatment unless you have four conditions 1.you are married and want to conceive then start thyroxin
2.if you are already pregnant now then start thyroxin
3.Get anti TPo antibodies level if raised then start thyroxin
4.Family history of thyroid illness
if no one in your case you don't need thyroxin until tsh is 10 or becoming symptomic with gradual increase in tsh on follow up labs or untill tsh 10 ie complete hypothyroidism and then treatment is definitely indicated.
