Talk to General Physician on Urinary System Associated Hiccups

My grand father is suffering from chronic hiccups for last 3 months. Initially, it started with fever,nausea and urination difficulty. We couldn’t find the actual disease behind it. To tackle urination problem, we passed foley catheter and astonishingly, it relieved hiccups and associated symptoms. After 10-15 days, when foley was removed, hiccups and fever started again. Again, foley was passed which allayed hiccups. After 20 days hiccups started again, while foley is still in. Could you please diagnose the problem and suggest treatment.
