Talk to General Physician on Wet Coughing

My daughter is 40 days old a new born baby. She had chest congestion few days ago which is now much better because a peads consultant gave her 3 days Iv injection. He recommended coferb drops for cough. The problem is she cough alot 3 to 4 times in a day. Coferb drops are not effective. Can i give her texilex cough syrup in the form of 4 to 5 drops? Or can someone suggest me a good cough drops i shall be very thankful.
