Asking For Self, Female 33, Peshawar
I was diagnosed with a Bartholin cyst back in 2017, which was removed through a simple incision. However, the area where the surgery was done still tends to swell occasionally. I consulted another doctor later, who criticized the decision to undergo surgery, saying that a small, painless cyst could have been managed with medication. Then in 2023, I visited a different doctor who examined me and assured me it was just part of the healing process and nothing to worry about. Now, after about a month, I’ve started feeling a new lump on the same (right) side again. What should I do? Could you please suggest any suitable antibiotics?
They tend to come back even after successful antibiotic treatment. and yes . Excision is ultimate solution. For now, you can use broad spectrum antibiotic , augmentin tablet , 1g , twice a day for three days. If it still persists , you might have to in person consult a surgeon , and plan further management
This needs examination in the surgery OPD, along with a review of the histopathology and notes from the previous surgery.
salam, if you are Karachi based you can visit me any Tuesday/Thursday 6pm at IOS Institute if Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery. Antibiitics use for non infected lumos is not recimmended
I have to examine.Plese come to Tahir Medical center Amir Khusro Road, Monday or Wednesday,9 a.m.
You can have Augmentin 1gm twice a day for 5 days, but it's better you see a gynaecologist not a general surgeon
visit a gynecologist nearby
visit to gynaecologist
without surgery it's completely treatable after taking some medicine don't you worry detailed history required kindly book appointment with me

Thank you so much to all the doctors who have replied me who have suggested me medications However i still have few questions. If the cyst returns even after undergoing an incision or surgery, what should i do?especially in the case of marriage.I have come across many patients who shared that during their 7th month of pregnancy, doctors advised surgery, warning that the cyst could cause complications during labor or delivery.I’m getting married in two months,i'm scared and would really prefer to avoid surgery. What are my options in this case?i do sitz bath also would a video consultation be helpful?
