It seems during your appendicitis infection ten hrs ago there was a perforated appendix requiring an operation. This is a common post operative complication many years down the road with “ pelvic inflammation and adhesions. You will need to see a good gynaecologist

Pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) is ascending infection caused by microorganism to female reproductive system.
it may lead to infertility. If You believe gynaecologist is good then go ahead with her plan or get a second opinion from other gynaecologist and IVF specialist.

Assalam O Alaikum, your history is more suggestive of pelvic inflammatory disease, and before going for IVF , it would be advisable to get further investigations. there procedure to open blocked tubes after which there are chances to conceive

There is a test called Hysterosalpingography, you should get that done. That would tell us whether your tubes are open or not, just swelling is not a reason for infertility, also you should have your husband's senen analysis done too.
