Asking for Mother, Female, 45 years old, Charsadda
Asallam o alaikum sir my mother has hyperthyroidism ( very enlarged goitre) ,she is getting treatment from dabgari garden peshawar and now from CMH peshwar to plan for thyroid surgery. Doctors are advising medicine ( Neo-mercazole + inderal) but her T-3, T-4, AND TSH tests not getting normal. It has been since six months taking those tablets but not geting the normal result....please sugest something.
You may need to increase the dose of Neomercazole of your mother if its not being controlled by the present regimen. This is necessary before surgery and avoid any problem associated with anesthesia. Please consult your primary physician/surgeon for further advice
Salam. It's right. Sometimes operation is to be done with iv control of heart rate and blood in hand. Check her other medicines. One might be antagonist.

Doctors has advised Neo-mercazol 5mg (1+1+1+ inderal 10mg 1+0+1 in begining, then 2+2+2 and then 3+3+3 ,and now she is taking. Neo-mercazole 5mg (4+4+4 ) and inderal 40mg (1+1+1) but stil the Tests results are not normal.
