Hi to all the Health Specialist, I want to ask about my father, He is 73 and diagnosed with Hepatitis and Gallbladder Stone. Can gallbladder stone surgery be performed if our father is hepatitis-positive?
yes.if liver fuctions are,normal
If the stone isn't bothering him, leave it alone. If he is Hepatitis positive and PCR negative then he can have it done laparoscopically otherwise most institutes will offer open surgery.
But if he is not symptomatic, leave him alone.

The simple answer is yes. But, it needs complete evaluation of his herst, lung status, liver and kidney functions. Also, one will have to see if it is colics, cholecystitis or asymptomatic stones. if colics respond to painkillers, and the stone is not causing any symptoms, then there is no need for surgery.
