Talk to General Surgeon on Pilondinal Sinus
Asking for Self, Male, 22 years old, Karachi
Doctor, I had a pilonidal sinus 5 years ago and underwent surgery. At that time, the wound was left open without stitches, and it was quite deep. It took almost 4 months to heal completely. Now, the problem has returned, and my doctor advised another surgery without stitches. Before proceeding, I would like to know if there are any other treatment options available, such as laser treatment or a surgical technique with stitches/closure, that may reduce healing time and lower the risk of recurrence. Could you please advise which option would be best in my case and why?
